  • 2 cups white rice
  • 4 cups water
  • 1/3 cup wild rice mix
  • 4 tablespoons granulated chicken bullion

  • sm pkg vermicelli broken up into 1/2 inch pieces
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 tablespoon parsley <.ul>
      DIRECTIONS:
    • Preheat oven to 350. Warm the butter and add the vermacelli, fry until brown, stirring as it browns.
    • Cook 1/3 cup wild rice mix in water, let it simmer as u prepare the rest of the dish, as it takes longer to cook than plain rice.
    • Remove from heat. In a large soup pan, add all the ingredients, stir, and bake covered at 350 for approx. 1 hour, or until the rice is cooked and the water is absorbed.
    • Stir half way thru cooking

(NOTE: you can brown the vermacelli in the pan you are going to put in the oven.)

(NOTE: you can cut this in half, or double, for a family i do 3 cups of rice and 6 cups water.)

(NOTE: you can add cooked chopped chicken, pork, and/or veggies, I often add onions. you can also change it to beef flavored.)
